What to do on a long weekend – why not visit France?! At least that’s what I was thinking before May 29th. So Callum and I, along with some friends from Manchester, ventured over the channel to visit northern France. Needless to say, we had an amazing time and can now tick another destination off of our European travel checklist!
I still pinch myself that these sort of trips are possible whilst living in the UK – a weekend trip to any European country from Brisbane – tell him he’s dreaming!
Read on to find out what we did, where we ate and what I wore...
WHAT WE DID
I didn’t think we’d be able to pack this much in to the three day trip but voilà! Here’s the list of what we got up to in Northern France:
Walking tour through Lille city centre and Vieux-Lille (old town Lille)
Marvelled at the sights including the Grand Place, Old Stock Exchange, Chambre de Commerce, Place du Theatre & Lille Cathedral.
WHAT WE ATE
WHAT I WORE
1. THE CORSET BELT
A belt can do wonders for an outfit; it has the power to accentuate your waist and can almost give an outfit a new look. I especially love the corset trend and am choosing to honour it in the form of a belt rather than a traditional corset.
Belt over an oversized t-shirt and jeans for edgy chic or cinch in a long-line blazer for a tailored twist on the trend.
