To be honest, I’ve never really thought about wearing anything gingham before now. To me, this was always a fabric I associated with tablecloths and napkins. Case in point below…
Considering the amount of gingham fabric I’ve seen splashed all over fashion magazines and in stores at the moment, I figured that it’s having a moment and I should give it a chance… and I’m so glad I did.
I found this great, inexpensive clothing website, SheIn, which led to me getting this top as I loved two things about it – the ruffled sleeves (also having a moment this season) and the big bow at the front. Another great thing about this style of top is that it cinches in at the waist, giving you a nice silhouette.
While I have styled it with a leather mini, I think that it works well with everything from skinny jeans, wide leg pants (palazzo) and fitted skirts. Unless you are a wizard with mixing prints, I’d stick to plainer fabrics on the bottom half and let the top half be the centre of attention.

It’s no understatement that I love a statement earring.
Last weekend, I was in Manchester visiting some friends who have recently moved over to the UK from Australia. While we were in town, I popped into MANGO since it is one of my favourite high street retailers and, much to my dismay, does not have a store in Cambridge! Once I locked eyes on these beauties I was besotted and started planning out how they were going to fit in with my spring/summer wardrobe - very easily was the answer.
I wear a lot of black and white so I liked the fact that these earrings could add a little ‘something something’ to an otherwise plain outfit.
